Star is a much-loved teenage gelding who has come to us because he has lost a tooth and requires more time than his very busy family has to provide his day to day needs. It wasn't an easy decision and they asked if they could still visit, but his well being matters to them so we were happy to help. Star had two separate members of his family reach out - one even came to our door! We love families that care so much that they put the horse first!
Star is a little nervous right now, so he'll have some time to settle in and then we'll figure out what he knows. His family says he's good for all the basics, farrier, ground work, and broke to ride for an experienced rider. We'll keep you posted how he does.
We have had a mare named Star in the past, so we may slightly adjust his name. We're thinking Ned Stark. What do you think?
