Hello world!! Mama Lily is proud to announce the birth of her healthy baby BOY! GSH Cypress Reid was born at 7:30a.m., June 4, 2025 and Lily and Cy are both doing well!
The name Cypress is chosen partially to honor Roman, who was lost yesterday far too young, and in honor of the circle of life. In Italy, the name Cypress evokes a rich blend of symbolism, representing not only death and mourning but also eternity, hope and resilience.
Cypress also stays true to the nature of his mother and sister's names, Lily and Ivy, while we think "Cy" (pronounced "sigh") is just adorable.
Lily retained the placenta a bit longer than we would have liked, but finally passed it, and baby Cy has passed his first meconium ... so we are well on our way with meeting all the milestones!
