Annie is a 20-year-old mare who has been steadily gaining weight and is finally healthy enough for her riding evaluation. She came from auction, where she was called a “kid-safe horse” with a “sticky stifle.” After our vet check, we believe it to be a mild case of upward patellar fixation made worse by her lack of muscle. With some continued weight gain and simple physical therapy (think trot poles, hills, and backing up), she’ll only get stronger!
Super friendly & easy to catch
Stands like a lady for grooming
Leads & loads into a trailer
Takes tack & rider without fuss
Light, responsive, and more “whoa than go” under saddle
Because of her age and stifle, Annie is best suited for light riding (walk/trot) with someone who will truly appreciate her calm, loving nature.
