Dewey started his Dakota Showdown journey as a Foundation horse… but he had other plans! Friendly, eager, and full of try, Dewey progressed so quickly that he moved up to the Showcase Division, joining the big leagues with his calm, can-do attitude.
This 3-year-old BLM Mustang gelding is likely pushing 14.3–15 hands and still growing into those long legs. He prefers people over other horses, happily choosing the domestic life, and he’s already shown he can thrive in a variety of situations—including being ponied through the Black Hills!
Dewey may have fewer rides than some Showcase horses, but his natural curiosity, kindness, and willingness make him a standout. He’s looking for a partner to keep him learning and growing!
