Tonight Dove worked on speeding up and slowing down. As well as her canter! She did excellent! We then moved onto an exercise that will help her begin her yielding. Under saddle she still gets confused but she is doing very well on ground! Tomorrow we will go back into the saddle and try it there.
Dove
A 4.5-5 year old, 15hh, grey mare out of Niki Jo Gal and sired by Hammer (2014). Dove is not registered but both parents are. She is a GREEN BROKE horse with 100 days of training and would definitely be a great horse for an advanced rider to continue her training! This mare is such a sweetheart, well mannered, easy going, and a very fast learner. I have had a beginner ride her under my supervision. Dove has been showed in a Play Day that consisted of games. She will be going to an eventing show, participating in dressage (USDF Intro A and B), ground poles, and crossrails.

staying relaxed in construction areas and around semis
Areas she can improve
Yielding undersaddle
Sidepassing undersaddle️
Cantering while relaxed (she gets nervous right now) undersaddle.
Dove is apart of a program called
Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge. This challenge takes horses from the Gentle Spirit Horse Rescue in Scotland, SD and gives them a second chance in a career. Dove is available for auction August 23rd in Lennox, SD at the 4H grounds. You must fill out an application and get it approved to be able to bid in the auction
