This joyful gallop? That’s what it looks like when you find out the scary lump on your face *isn’t* cancer.
We were very worried the growths on Whitney’s nose and jaw could be malignant, but her biopsy results are in—and it’s the best possible outcome: just sarcoids!
Sarcoids can still be painful and stubborn, especially on the face, but they’re treatable. We’ve already removed the largest one, and she’s clearly more comfortable—more relaxed, less sensitive, and happily showing off that sweet face.
Now we’re starting her on Aldara, a topical cream that’s had great success shrinking sarcoids. It can be a bit irritating, so we’ll take it slow and gentle, and if needed, we’ll consult on surgical removal. For now, we’re hopeful.
To support Whitney through treatment and rehab, we’re seeking monthly sponsors to help cover about $200/month in care costs. Here's how you can help:
* 1 generous person giving $200/month
* 2 people giving $100/month
* 4 people giving $50/month
* 10 people giving $20/month
* Or whatever amount makes sense for you—every bit helps!
Thanks for helping Whitney keep kicking up her heels—she deserves every happy gallop.
