6 humanely euthanized when their suffering could not be relieved
2 passed in our care despite every effortThat means 29 auction horses avoided a dangerous and uncertain fate — and 2 more were placed directly into partner rescues in North Dakota and Georgia.
We also responded to 33 requests from owners needing help. Many never replied to follow-up, and several came from as far away as Maine, California, Alabama, and Utah — a reminder of how widespread the need truly is. A few were legacy requests, where people are planning ahead to be sure their horses will be safe and cared for when they can no longer provide that care themselves.
