Dental party with Cedar County Veterinary Services, LLC!
Today Dr. Ben of Cedar County Veterinary Services, LLC came out and we had a dental party! Sterling, Rocky, Beau, Phoebe, Dex, Sonny, Turbo and Airforce all saw Dr. Ben for dental floats, and Sterling, Rocky, Airforce and Charlie had their sheaths cleaned. Turbo was not very cooperative so will need to go to the clinic to finish his float (we NEED a set of stocks) and Dex will go along to have a tooth pulled. She had two loose and we were able to get one pulled but not the other.
We're grateful to have such a great vet nearby and huge thank you to William and Teresa for coming out to help!
Dentals are about $130 a horse, sheath cleaning about $20, and of course the farm call, so it was about $1300 today. Donations to help keep the horses healthy are appreciated!
