It's auction weekend!

It's auction weekend, and for the first time in quite a while, we won't be making the trip to Corsica.

That wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one. With drought conditions driving up hay prices to double last year's prices, we're keeping a close eye on the number of horses we already have in our care while continuing to work through our owner surrender waiting list. We also have a long-standing commitment that will take us out of town this weekend, making it the right time to pause, focus on the horses already here, and make sure we're prepared for the months ahead.

As we get ready for this year's hay season, we're also cleaning out our square bale barn, moving last year's hay to one side, and preparing for new deliveries. If you'd like to help, monetary donations toward hay are always appreciated, and if you have quality square bales you'd like to donate, we'd love to hear from you. If you and a group of friends would be interested in tackling the hay barn, let us know! We're hoping to schedule a project day near the end of July to get everything organized before this year's hay starts coming in.
