It's the Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge FINALE weekend!! Are you coming? The weather is looking FANTASTIC for a fun day at the Yankton Rodeo Grounds!
Saturday is the Open Horse Show - come out and watch local riders and their horses have a fun day competing! Stick around for the free-will donation BBQ hangout afterwards and get to know us a bit more. Vendors are on site and ready to be shopped ... it'll be a nice day!
Then come join us Sunday as the Showdown trainers and their horses show us what they've accomplished over trail obstacles and with a freestyle. Learn more about the successes and challenges and show your appreciation for all their hard work! Trail Obstacles starts at 10:30 am and Freestyles at 12:30. We should be wrapping things up with the adoption auction and prizes by mid-afternoon so come on out!
The easiest way to find us is to put the Visit Yankton Welcome Center into your GPS - 803 E 4th St, Yankton, SD 57078. Go through the big black gates and take the first left. Come all the way down to the arena. Parking is on the RIGHT side of the arena in the grass. This is for show participants and spectators alike!
Please no dogs, no smoking on the grounds (please smoke in your car) and no alcohol. We missed that on the proof for the flyer but this is a family event so let's stay focused and fun - bring your own bottle of water, or soda, or iced tea but let's leave the hard stuff at home.
