Luna is up for adoption!

Check out Luna's amazing progress as she is finishing up her 30-days with Annika Greaney of Red Line Equestrian! Luna participated in the Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge this summer, where she got started under saddle but the anxiety of the event seemed to get to her. We chose to send her to Annika for 30 days to see if she could give her more confidence and work on calming her down and correcting a few behaviors ... and she went far beyond!

Luna can still be tough to catch, but will get better with continued consistency. She has calmed down a lot and is going well under saddle, but is still in need of regular handling, and we suspect she will test a new person with her feet at first. She needs someone patient but firm and fair, as she's a very smart mare.

We also invested in two chiropractic (and one acupuncture) treatments to help loosen up her hind end a bit. She has always moved stiffly but her joints x-rayed clean. The chiropractic and acupuncture work specifically on her sacroiliac (SI) joint did seem to help a lot. We do suggest continuing with chiropractic and/or acupuncture treatments if at all possible as she does seem to enjoy them.

Luna does already have someone coming to meet her who has been following her for a while, but if they don't end up being a good match, feel free to get an adoption application in!
