Meet Tipsy – one of your September Auction Saves Tipsy is a 23-year-old Hackney/Welsh Cob pony mare with a long history of working hard for her people. For years, she served as an Amish pony, faithfully driving the kids to school and back every day. When she could no longer keep up with that job, she moved on to a new owner who cared for her until medical issues meant they had to rehome quickly.
That owner reached out to us after the auction and was so relieved to know that Tipsy landed safely with Gentle Spirit Horses. 
Tipsy came to us with a large back leg, but her previous owner kindly forwarded her x-rays, which are surprisingly clean — just a touch of arthritis. With that reassurance, we’ll be keeping a close eye on her, giving her some time to settle in, and learning what she knows so we can figure out the best path for her future.
For now, we’re just glad this sweet little mare is safe and has a chance at a happy new chapter.
