Name Reveal: Meet Loretta!

This big draft cross mare is about 10 years old and already showing us that she's a very smart girl. She's curious and kind, but opinionated and a talker - we've heard many different vocalizations from her! She is a little spooky but curious, and will come up to sniff and is starting to let us touch her. She also appears to be heavily pregnant.

 

Unfortunately Loretta does already have a small cough from her auction experience, which we are keeping an eye on. We typically do a standard 21 day quarantine for our auction horses, but that is 21 days without symptoms, so unfortunately this crew will likely require an additional week or two of quarantine, which could affect our auction plans next month. But that's ok - all horses in our care get the time and care they need to be healthy and happy horses, so we'll just take it day by day.

 

Loretta is a big girl requiring a lot of food to build her weight up and help the foal develop.
