# Team Alex May 27, 2026 - Update!

 1 June 2026

[Dakota Showdown](https://www.gentlespirithorses.org/blog/tag/dakota-showdown)

From Trainer Sarah:

Finally got a video of Alex's progress. I've walked him in the pen with the other horses and have been fixing fence, so hopefully he'll be out in the grass soon. Currently were working on catching because he can be a bit of a pain. Ill also introduce ponying to him.

Alex will be available for adoption at the Dakota Showdown Finale on August 23, 2026 in Lennox, South Dakota. Check out [http://dakotashowdown.com](https://dakotashowdown.com/) for more info.
