Team Frannie June 14, 2026 - Update!
From Trainer Beth Stahlecker:
Still going slow and steady with Frannie, working on basics like pivoting on hindquarters or front end, being comfortable with me standing above her, lunging, and feet. I'm noticing a subtle shut down as we work on this. She's very comfortable with a lot, but I'm trying to be more mindful of being comfortable vs accepting (compliance vs cooperation). She doesn't blow up or spook too bad, so, like everything, it's about finding the balance between pushing her out of her comfort zone, but keeping her mind thinking. So, it's slow and boring... but it's moving forward!
She also wore the bareback pad without fuss, and accepted me leaning on her back, petting her off side and standing on the mounting bucket.
