Feeling safe = curiosity = learning
Horses, just like people, learn best when they feel safe. In our session a couple days ago, Frannie didn't feel safe and tried consistently to get out of the pen. So yesterday I decided to slow it down, work on connection a little more and go from there. I think it was just an off day the other day. I brought out the tarp and let her explore before asking for anything. I'd say any day the horse explores the scary object like this is a good training day! She walked over it without an issue when I asked, after exploring. (Thanks Facebook, for making me post videos separately
