For the first time since June, we'll walk through the pens and look for the horses who need us most.
Right now, we've raised just over $1,000 toward this weekend's auction — almost enough to fully fund our goal of $1,500 for one horse.
We don't know who we'll find. It may be a horse who needs groceries, veterinary care and rehabilitation before finding a new home. It may be an older or injured horse whose needs are more complicated. And sometimes, helping means giving a suffering horse a safe place to land and a peaceful goodbye.
After taking July and August off, we're ready to help again. We just need to make sure the funding is there when we find the horses who need us.
