Volunteer Orientation & Farm Tour
Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue is a little unique.
Unlike most rescues our size — and many horse rescues overall — we don’t have anyone whose time is devoted exclusively to the rescue. Every person currently involved with GSH also maintains a full-time job elsewhere, balancing this work around careers, families, and full lives… and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish that way.
As we look ahead to 2026, we know that to grow sustainably, strengthen our programs, and care for more horses, we need to grow our volunteer team too.
That’s why 2026 is our year to focus on volunteers.
We’re excited to announce that we’ll now be hosting monthly Volunteer Orientations, starting on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
This 2-hour orientation and farm tour is the first step to joining any of our volunteer teams. You’ll learn who we are, how we operate, meet the horses, so a cleaning and/or grooming project, and see where you might fit in.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to help, but I’m not sure where to start,” — this is it.
From daily feeding to farrier days, grooming, maintenance, and behind-the-scenes support, this orientation opens the door.
You’re welcome — we’d love to see you.
Please fill out the form anyway to get into our volunteer system, then reach out — we’re happy to arrange another date or time.
Amazing things happen when good people come together for horses. We’re excited to grow this community together in 2026.
