This handsome 3-year-old BLM mustang gelding has returned to the main GSH facility to finish out his journey in the Foundation Division of the #DakotaShowdown2025!
His original trainer made the tough but thoughtful decision to step back after being overwhelmed with work demands. With just over a month left before the Finale, we brought Forrest home—where GSH’s Tiffany, Nina, and Jay Westerbur (Onyx’s trainer) will team up to continue his gentling.
Forrest has made great progress—he leads well once haltered and accepts touch nearly everywhere. With consistent, focused support in these final weeks, we’re confident he’ll be adoption-ready by the Finale.
